Senior Software Engineer/Data Engineer (6 Openings)
Analyze, design, and develop cloud-based Big Data processing systems and applications, Utilize technologies like Hadoop, HDFS, HBase, Hive, Scala, Kafka, IBM DataStage, Informatica, DB2, Salesforce, JSON, AWS, Cassandra, Teradata, NoSQL, and Unix Shell Scripting. Design and implement applications using JAVA, J2EE, JDBC, Spring Boot, Python, React JS, and Angular, ServiceNow or Appian. Develop systems to parse JSON data and load it into multiple data persistence stores for real-time and offline analytics. Data Migration involving ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) Processes for various source data into target data stores and data marts. Develop Hive Scripts, Unix Shell scripts, and Spark programs for ETL loading processes. Utilize data migration tools and platforms such as Salesforce, Apex Lightning tools, Kafka, and Sqoop. Ensure smooth and efficient data movement between systems and databases. System Administration, Database Management, Administer and manage databases, including performance of data storage and retrieval systems. Administer and maintain operating systems including Linux, Unix, and Windows. Manage and configure middleware technologies such as WebLogic, WebSphere, and IBM Integration Designer. Perform data profiling, Develop complex SQL queries for data analysis and reporting to gain insights into data quality and characteristics. Use Data visualization tools like Tableau, dashboards for accuracy and performance. Develop and execute test plans for applications and systems. Test application programming interfaces (APIs) for real-time and batch data processing.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, or any Engineering field and 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, Programmer Analyst, Software Consultant, or any job involving software development. Experience must include application development using API and or low-code/no-code approaches, specifically involving data migration in a cloud environment, utilizing Software Development Platforms like Salesforce or ServiceNow or Appian. Will accept a Master’s degree and 3 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience.
Work Location:
Canopy One Solutions, 4229 Lafayette Center Drive, Suite 1625, Chantilly, VA 20151. Travel/relocation to various unanticipated project locations throughout the US may be required.
